Sorry, I think I was misunderstandig you (I'm not as good in English as I
should be). Three sentences are ok.

I thought of color-handling/-selector standard, (unmodal-)dialog-handling
standard, font-selector standard, help-system standard, shared filter
standard, ... (some of them were already discussed here)

Not to forget the key combinations of alternative (PC-like) keyboards.

Omikron-Basic does!

Offtopic:
A few weeks ago I was at an presentation of the new Indy by SGI here at the
university. Somebody asked, what happens if an app crashes. The man from SGI
said: "No problem, this process then will be killed and the others keep on
running as before." -- One minute later the hole system crashes, the Indy
was dead, must be turned off and on again and the SGI-man gets a very red
skin in his face. (grin) ;-)))))

There it would be interesting to have the supposed international keyboard
list. With which other characters does the '?' apear on one key? Here on my
German PC-like keyboard it's the German eszet that will never be used as
shortcut and the '\' (in use with 'ALT GR', the second ALT-key).
(I can't throw away the Compendium - I don't have it because it's too
expensive [120 DM]:-) But I see absolutely no danger in using this in the
wrong way. If you use an old program and press ^? nothing will happen and
with ^I you get info anyway. (But I prefer ^I ^B ^U [^_,^=] for italics,
bold and underline. You not only can use them in text-apps. In graphic-apps
you also have textobjects. But that's only my opinion as I'm not used to
many shortcuts as I'm a mouse-freak:-)

Deselect sounds better to me. With 'hide' I think of something like hiding
behind a tree. (I hope you understand what I'm trying to say)

Don't forget the 3rd party TOS computers (if you have enough money:-)
See what I've written above. But if we take so long to get the shortcut
standard then you're probably right.

Agreed
